About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Content Operations Manager to lead our editorial scaling initiative as we grow from 3 to 10 daily on-site posts. You'll design and manage the systems that keep our content production efficient, our editorial voice consistent, and our team working in sync. This isn't about replacing writers with automation—it's about building the infrastructure that lets talented creators focus on storytelling while you handle the operational backbone.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize a content production pipeline that scales from 3 to 10 daily posts without sacrificing quality
- Establish research and ideation processes using competitive intelligence, SEO data, and trend analysis to keep the content calendar full
- Implement editorial workflow systems that manage drafts, reviews, approvals, and publishing across a growing team
- Coordinate content distribution across owned channels and ensure automated syndication runs smoothly
- Track content performance metrics and translate analytics into actionable insights for editorial strategy
- Maintain team collaboration systems including documentation, task management, and feedback loops
- Ensure editorial standards and brand voice remain consistent as production volume increases
- Identify bottlenecks in the workflow and implement solutions before they slow down output
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in content operations, editorial project management, or similar scaling environments
- Proven track record managing high-volume content production (50+ pieces monthly)
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization best practices
- Experience implementing and managing CMS platforms and editorial workflow tools
- Analytical mindset with hands-on experience using Google Analytics or similar platforms
- Excellent project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Clear communication style and ability to document processes for team adoption
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in journalism, publishing, or digital media environments
- Familiarity with marketing automation and content distribution tools
- Experience managing remote or distributed content teams
- Knowledge of AI-assisted writing tools and how to integrate them ethically
